The Midweek Message: From Beginning to End (Romans 8)
In this final part of our Christmas series of sermons, we consider how far back and how far forward God's plan of salvation reaches.

Just Another Melodic Monday - Come, Lord Jesus
With the Sovereign Grace UK Leader's Conference coming up in less than 3 weeks, "Come, Lord Jesus" is a simple song from their album "Prayers of the Saints" expressing the prayer of Christians that Jesus Christ would return and take all of his people to be with him in the glory of heaven. One of the passages that the song is based on is Romans 8:18-23:
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

Just Another Melodic Monday - The Good Song
We're grateful for the children that come regularly to our Sunday morning services. Sometimes they outnumber the adults! As there are so many children present, we always sing a children's song before they go to Sunday school.
Seeds Family Worship take Bible verses and set them to music, and here is one of their songs, combining Psalm 34:10 with Romans 8:28. The children love this song (and the actions) but singing it as a round is a challenge for some of the adults!

Some Words for Tuesday: Church From Scratch - A Spiritual Family
Through Christ, we are able to come into God's family and receive "the Spirit of adoption". The local church community, therefore, is a spiritual family which should be united and recognisable. We explore these truths in this message.
